A BARREL OF FUN

Riveting and fun are the two perfect words to describe my first day in Baguio. Even though the initial itinerary was not pushed through, everything still turned out great! First on the list, Ili-Likha Café.

Ili-Likha is owned by the film director and writer, Kidlat Tahimik. “Likha”, which means to create, generally explains the main point of the place: a home for artistic minds that produce great art masterpieces that are mostly created out of recycled materials. Some are just twisted metals, random planks of woods, colorful pieces of broken glasses and tiles, and jutted out old wine bottles. It might sound like as if everything was just created randomly, without thinking, but when you see everything as a whole, you will definitely witness a complete look of aesthetic.

The physical look of Ili-Likha Café is a combination of utter quaint and beauty that is interpreted into a wood art, interior and furniture matched with warm yellow lights and classic designs and decorations. It has a mellow ambiance even at night that for me works well with the cold temperature of Baguio that complemented by the hot organic coffee that the café is selling.

One of the things that I will never forget about Ili-Likha is the amazing taste of its homemade organic cookies and bread that complements well with its coffee. Ili-Likha serves organic food and drinks that are all made from its original recipes. So if you are on a healthy diet, no worries, because everything there is healthy and natural!

After having a quick snack and tour at Ili-Likha, we have decided to go back to the hotel for dinner. We had our dinner at Tradisyon Coffee Shop where we had Shabu-Shabu – Fridays for Azalea Residences are meant for Hot Pot Night!

And then, before going to sleep, we had a… Pajama Party!! Just FYI this was actually the first overnight out of town I had with friends, with the approval of my parents! Haha only child moments! Anyway, the small party was held in Azalea Residences’ function room.

The first game that we did was the Color Game! It was a little bit challenging for me, Sarah and Anagon since the first position that we did was kneeling down. Unlike Seph, his first position was sitting down so all the way to the end, he was just sitting and just reaching the colors through his foot and hand, while we were in a complicated position. As a result, he won! Haha good job, sweetie!

Our next game was Pillow Fight! Haha this was actually fun because you have to give your full effort in spanking your opponent for him or her to fall from the two pillows that he or she was kneeling down.

To be honest, even my extra strength was not enough to make my opponent fall, so bringing home the bacon was impossible for me!
