A casual day in a playsuit is one of the things I commonly do, especially on summertime. It is one of my ways of opting for comfort without taking aside style, and my way of challenging myself to make my ensemble stand out. But on the other hand, to tell you honestly, playsuits are kind of hassle for us, girls, because it is like wearing a one piece swimsuit on our casual day and makes urinating so difficult and hassle that we have to remove everything before peeing (seriously!). That is why, when the matching top and bottoms popped up in the list of trends and spread its influence like a virus to every brand, it became my remedy to take away the hassle and let the comfort and style rule on its own.
This matching top and shorts or also known as “terno” in the Philippines, is just like a two-piece playsuit. The fabric and silhouette are similar with playsuits and the way of styling it is also much of a muchness. Terno is pretty and perfect for petites because of its cut that highlights the curves of the body and legs, which also creates an illusion of looking taller.
On the different note, styling terno is as easy as pie and is feasible for layering. So to make the outfit more accurate for sunny days, I styled it with a black vest and pearl necklace. Yes, it is simple but through the pearl necklace, it turned out to look elegant.
So what do you think? Is this a perfect ensemble for summer? How are you going to style your terno?
