Just last year, everyone was shocked with the consecutive news and victims of the bullet planting scandal or “laglag bala” at Ninoy Aquino International Airport as it seemed uncontrollable that even the government could not put a stop to it in the blink of an eye. As a result, instead of getting excited to hit the trail, everyone is all stressed out with the fact that he or she might be a victim – even me never let a second pass by without keeping my eye on my luggage and bag. Hence, I figured that it would be a better move to opt for a luggage that I can rely on and can give me confidence to blink without thinking of anything terrible that might happen to it. And just two weeks ago, I discovered a Japanese luggage brand, ace.
Ace. offers different types of luggage such as RockPaint, Ripple and Palisades, but what I opted for is the ace. Ripple. Unlike any other luggage, ace. Ripple has no zipper but has two TSA-accepted 3-combination lock and is securely covered with durable impact resistant body shell that features classic, elegant lines and a mirror-like finish with technological innovations that ensure the security of its contents and the user’s comfort. Moreover, it has ergonomic pull-up handle and twin wheel casters that manage to move swiftly, smoothly and silently wherever direction you want it to go – they can even spin effortlessly.
What is more, these wheels have stoppers, which are good when riding a train or when stopping on a steep street or path – just switch it to “stop” and then you are free to not worry of it running away from you.
This luggage may only be 32 liters but it surprisingly able to carry 10 sets of outfits specifically one (1) trench vest, one (1) blazer, two (2) pants, one (1) shorts, two (2) skirts, two (2) dresses, three (3) tops, one (1) pajamas set, two (2) t-shirts, one (1) small sling bag, two (2) belts, one pair of sneakers, two pairs of heels, two pairs of flats and one pair of slippers. My toiletries on the other hand were placed in the corners together with my clothes.
I was really astonished that all my stuff was in there but all I know is it all fitted in a 47 x 34 x 23cm luggage because of its organized interior design that maximizes storage space – and no, it is not expandable.
Overall, ace. Ripple luggage amazed me with its reliable quality, excellent interior design and outstanding double-wheel casters with stoppers. Plus, its size is perfect as a hand carry luggage. With a price of 32,000 yen or 14,900 pesos, it is pretty pricey considering its size but with its superb quality, honestly, it makes every penny worthwhile.
