Life is all about goals and dreams that no matter how hard and long the journey is, everything always ends up worthwhile. However, sometimes, because we are too busy pursuing each of our objectives, we forget to pause, breathe, and get some unwinding hours. Hence, once in a while, it is a great thing for something to occur to remind us that taking a break from everything is never a burden even for few days. And that was what Azalea Residences, Baguio brought to my mind as it invited me for three days of fun and chill together with my fellow blogger friends and of course, with my sweetie, Seph, last October 10-12, 2014.
Azalea Residences sent a shuttle to pick us up in Trinoma, Quezon City then headed straight to the hotel. The trip took almost five hours (with stopovers), but the travel was certainly smooth and safe. It was really a breath of fresh air to see trees and mountains rather than buildings and light posts all around me, as we reached the City of Pines, also known as Baguio City.
We headed to a narrow street with Azalea Residences’ signage, then just after two minutes, we were stunned when an elegant sphere fountain welcomed us together with the calm aura of the hotel and the amicable smile and treatment of the staff – actually, the staff and the drivers of the hotel were really nice and friendly to each of us from day one to day three of our stay.
We first stayed at Eight Degrees Lounge to have a coffee while waiting for the other shuttle to arrive. This part of the hotel serves as a mini bar where it offers different wines and drinks for the ones who want to have a chill out sesh alone, with friends or relatives.
While on the other side of the hotel is where Tradisyon Coffee Shop located. It is the flagship restaurant of the hotel that offers buffets and special dinners: from Friday to Sunday, a buffet brunch is available from 11am to 3pm; Mongolian Buffet dinner every Thursdays while Friday is a Hot Pot Night and Saturdays are Pizza Pasta Buffet dinner. The value of dinner buffets range from Php220 to Php395 per person, or it can be for free depends on the hotel package that you will avail.
Azalea Residences offers cozy accommodations with its 99 suites complete with living, dining and kitchen facilities, plus a strong Wi-Fi connection.
We were assigned to a three-bedroom suite: one master bedroom, one room with two double size beds and one room with one double size bed. In the living room, the sofa that the hotel is using is a sofa bed that can also be used if unexpected guests or friends come over – yes, multiple occupants is allowed!
We toured the hotel accompanied by its management, and I just want to share the best suite of them all, the Presidential suite.
These photos say it all: serene aura and classy look with complete furniture, perfect for big families or groups.
Each suite has tranquil ambiance but this one got more because of the natural light coming from its windows plus, the idea of having a warm and woodsy interior.
Azalea Residences Baguio is located five minutes away from Session Road, along Leonard Wood, near to the city’s main attractions and happenings. A worry and hassle free packages are made available, which include three days and two nights room accommodation, daily buffet breakfast, two lunches or dinners at Tradisyon Coffee Shop, half day countryside tour, three-hour use of a chauffeured air-conditioned van to tour the city, and adventure activities for the family or group. This package was the one that the hotel made us experience, and that I will tell more on my upcoming blog posts! So, better stay tuned!
