If there is one thing that remains consistent from the last few days until now, it is the rainy days; the endless rainy days in Manila that pour enough to flood a lot of streets. There may be hours allotted for Mr. Sun, but more than half-day is for the rain and clouds. Thus, rubber boots and shoes have been sporting by most ladies particularly the ones taking public transportations, however, not all of these shoes are cozy enough and it is never convenient to bring those boots in the office or while you are doing some errands – unless there are now foldable boots available, but since there are not, what you need is a pair that helps you get through the wet of rainy days. So in one of the bipolar days in Manila, where I experienced both sun and rain, here is the outfit I sported: a plain shirt dress, cardigan and a pair of water repellent sneakers.
Doing some errands covers a lot of hassle especially when the weather does not have any concern for you – just like what they say, “when it rains, it pours” too bad this time, it really does rains and yeah, it pours. So every time I am out to do some errands and quick shopping, what I commonly wear is nothing but a total comfort for my own convenience. Hence, I just wore a simple dress and accentuated it with bright color through my cardigan and sneakers.
Going back to rainy days and water repellent sneakers, this pair from People is the perfect pair to wear. Even though it looks like it is sensitive from dirt, sporting it on a rainy day is never a bother especially when cleaning it is just as easy as pie! Another great things about this pair are: it is lightweight and it has soft soles. So taking this pair out for errands, whether you are going to take a public transportation or you will be bringing your own car, will sure not cause any hassle!
