Doing a double duty ensemble is a bit backbreaking especially when the occasions you have in a day are not along each other’s lines. As a result, even if you have wished to have an instant outfit change a lot of times, you will just grab another outfit to bring with you because unfortunately, your wish will never be granted – hassle, right? But if you will just be wise and playful in choosing the perfect flexible outfit, you will for sure hit the right note and convenience is on its way; the only effort that you have to make is not to be late and of course, to put a sweet smile on that pretty face.
When things get tough and fate has suddenly decided to jerk around with your schedule, three occasions are about to happen in a day. And the thing is, heavy traffic is not the only challenging part that awaits you, but also the inconvenience of bringing clothes with you because you never want to skip having an appropriate look for each event. Birthdays, errands and meetings are what your day comprises of. Considering these occasions, an outfit that fits for casual and semi formal events is what you have to come up. It might sound a bit complicated, but if you will actually think straight and plain, this will be just as easy as ABC.
This situation is never new to me and to all of the freelancers out there; because aside from being “multitaskers” in skills and knowledge, a multitasking ensemble is what we usually pull off: an outfit that builds a good impression while giving style, comfort and convenience. So going back to the topic and having all of the occasions in mind, here is what I suggest: a dress that has a sophisticated and classy look yet has modish and refined cut and fit.
Keeping that in mind, I opted to wear this dress from Thrift Market. This dress is composed of different colors and complex prints that made it look chic and attractive; decreasing its elegance might be an outcome of having a kaleidoscopic look of apparel but because this dress has shades that are not loud and not too vibrant, a fine and elegant outfit has put into shape, which what you should exactly wear during your meetings.
Also, you can add a touch of silver necklace and gold belt to put another mark of classiness – for petites, this dress is a must have; it already has a cinched in middle to give emphasis to your figure, but of course, a dress with accent is more stunning so wearing a belt is always a great idea!
On the different note, if you are already heading out for casual occasions just remove your blazer and you are ready to go! You can also sport a cardigan, specifically color yellow, to bring out the perky trait of the dress itself.
And because I am a go-to woman for a day, what I need is a comfy pair of shoes. So I opted to wear this red flats from Kartell. This pair was one of the pairs I got in Massimo Bonini and to tell you honestly, I got nothing to regret from choosing it; because aside from the fact that it is really comfortable, surprisingly, it suits to any color or outfit I wear – yes, I have worn this pair a couple of times even I just got it last week! Haha!
So how about you? How do you style your casual dress and turn it into an appropriate wear in office or during your meetings?
