Since high school, misplacing my trust in a nail technician is something I do not want to happen as it results to what I truly keep on preventing: ingrown, infections and scars – especially that I saw how my grandmother’s toenails bled because of pedicure (yikes!). Hence, only few nail salons I go to whenever my nail technician, which offers home service, is not available for a certain day. However, to be honest, I have not found yet the salon that met my expectation until last April 21.
It was actually an emergency thing because I needed to have pedicure and manicure as I am about to attend, MYOH on that day and have to wear slippers during the event. Sure, I contacted our nail technician but unluckily, she was still in the province. So my boyfriend, Seph, and I roamed around the mall for a quick cherry-picking of nail salons that led me to spotting the daintiest salon at the 5th level of Mega Fashion Hall, The French Tips.
I know that looks can be deceiving but this salon is not just about looks and ambiance but it got what I have been looking for.
The nail technicians that assigned to me were both have light working hands and they were careful and focused on what they were doing.
After cleaning, they double checked it and asked for my advice if my cleaned nails/toenails were already fine or if there were some flaws that they have to clean and check. And then, they massaged my feet!
There are a lot of options for the colors and brands of nail polishes but instead of opting for something vibrant, I chose the MT gold polish!
Afterwards, they put quick dry drops for my nails to easily get dry especially that I am heading over to MYOH event! And surprisingly, it worked unlike with the other salons.
To put it briefly, aside from its pretty interior, I can say that French Tips can be every girl’s go-to salon! It has relaxing and welcoming ambiance, which makes it perfect when you want to have nail services together with your friends. The seats are cozy, and the staffers are friendly. The manicure and pedicure services are satisfying from start to end, and customer’s opinions are welcome, which is very important for me.
As for the price, the manicure service starts at Php 190 while pedicure is Php 225 – it depends on the certain service you prefer. But for me, it is affordable and worth it specifically that the quality of service is good and place is nice and relaxing!
