Do you know the phrase “There is always beauty in simplicity”? Many of us, girls, agree on this notion that pulling off a monochromatic ensemble is what we do most of the time. Through a simple mix of black and white apparels, and a little touch of silver, gold or pearl accessory it is totally undoubtful that it will turn out sophisticated. However, there is a reason why these colors have been known for being the hues to wear in expressing sorrow and aggression. As a result, pulling off an everyday outfit with just ebony and ivory does not look that good (in general, I mean), unless you manage to add a bit of rainbow colored accessory. Nevertheless, why not try something that will give a total glamour through a punch of vibrant shade like Magenta.
“Be a fruit loop in a world of cheerios” is one of the phrases that describes how girls should express their happy thoughts and personality in the world of fashion and styling in a way that they are going to stand out –but I am not saying that you must wear an ensemble that is full of bright colors. What I am trying to say is do not limit yourself to wearing dull colors, because you are just letting yourself to miss the fun! –and I am telling you, you do not want to miss that, really. Why? Mixing and matching colors is as enjoyable as finding the perfect combination of colors whenever you are being artsy-fartsy. Easy? No, but it is not hard as well. Similar with art, styling has no limitations that you can pair any colors you want, but again, similar with art, your style is who you really are and that “you” is never a boring one but a crazy, cheerful and smart person. So, why just wear lame colors?
I know how complicated it is to wear girly and vibrant tones like pink, but a shade darker than that will not be such a pain in the neck, like Magenta. Magenta is easier to wear than neon pink or ultra-bright fuchsia, but still has impact. It is not hard to find the perfect color that will compliment with this shade; in fact, it suits with light blue.
To prevent confusion between colors, I only wore two colors. On the different note, to build balance between colors, I avoided too much accessories and restricted light blue just with my shoes and bag. Now if you are thinking about pairing this dress with black instead of light blue, it is also fine; just make sure not to wear too much black because it might overpower the shade of Magenta and might look imbalanced.
Gold and pearl accessories can also add a touch of elegance, especially that the dress is simple. Wearing a belt is a great idea as well, but for me, I chose to leave it simple and let the necklace do the accentuation.
How about you? What do you think is the best color to match with Magenta? 🙂
