Versatile and flexible are maybe the most used adjectives every time gals or even guys hit the mall to find the right bottoms that suit to his or her wardrobe theme; because we know for sure that nobody wants to expend for bottoms that he or she can only wear once. As a result, black, white and denims never miss out any type of bottoms in everyone’s closet; but which bottom girls should really consider as a wardrobe staple aside from jeans? In my book, that should be button down skirts or button-front skirts!

Trends definitely do come and go: popular yesterday, became obsolete today and then will turn into tomorrow’s crowd-pleaser. Every piece of garment has its own history and every time that it becomes part of the trend, brands and designers make it modish and more appealing – but not everything. Looking back, button down skirts remain almost the same except that now they come in different prints – but just like what those shabby muted shaded jeans in your wardrobe make you realize: neutrals are still the best choice that you can ever make. So I bought myself a white one!
As I mentioned in my previous outfit post, styling color white is as easy as black and denims: any color and print will look good with it. So imagine with A-line button down skirt where whichever top you opt for will look stunning just by tacking in! Thus, combining white and this type of skirt make a very good and easy outcome in which you can sport whatever you want even the simplest ones.
But in my case, I did not pick the simplest but a floral off shoulder top to accentuate the plain color of white with its prints, and then I wore a pair of orange sandals to add vibrance – color orange is not just the shade I selected randomly but the hue I based on the color that is standing out on my top to keep balance and coherence between colors.
For my bag, a native bag with light brown shade befits my ensemble, which mostly because of its flexible color that very well suits to color white and also to the shade of my top.
So how about you? How do you style your button down skirt?
