Probably, I am not really fond of sporting plain components that I always find ways to put some accents notable when I am opting for muted colors; it can be through accessorizing or choosing the apparel with enough touches of dainty prints as long as it still looks simple and never too much. On the contrary, whenever I am not in the mood to put even a bit of effort, my way of remedying is by wearing thin stripes.
Along with muted shades, thin stripes are what I see as timeless prints because of its subtleness, which makes them easy going even with other prints. As a result, instead of donning plain clothes and matching it with fancy necklaces, earrings or bracelets, I commonly pull off thin stripes like these top and skirt from GTW. They may look chicer with accessory, but they can already stand on their own most especially with gladiator heels.
Moreover, thin vertical stripes suit well with petites as they can make them appear taller. Hence, any high waist bottoms are perfect as long as the silhouette does not overwhelm your body.
