Have you ever thought that sometimes you have this kind of ability to control things and place them anywhere you want it to be? Well to be honest, I do, in everyday of my life when I am running late to my meeting and I am stuck for an hour in traffic. What do I always wish? Aside from having that power to teleport, I wish to just move every car that is blocking my way to the other side of the highway and after ten minutes, tadaa! I am finally in my client’s office – too bad this could only happen in Bruce Almighty. Anyway, it can still happen in reality, but not too real because you can only do it through the magic of fashion.
Every garment has its own identity, which is the basis in putting up an outfit. Is it some kind of limitation? No, because just like what I have said a while ago, you can control everything as long as it involves styling; because even though the style of the apparel looks a little bit urban, adding up a different twist of texture, color and print can change its look in a way that it balances the personality of the clothing and the one who wears it.
Apart from the prints and colors, the cut and fit of the clothes are what stylists are looking at to shape a balanced ensemble that has the proper fit for the body structure of the person. So in wearing sweater, particularly the one that is not fitted, pants, leggings and shorts are its usual pair to not overpower the one who wears it especially when he or she is petite.
So to combine both stylishness and appropriateness of the fit here was what I came up in styling my Bart Simpson pullover. I matched it with my Forever 21 white lace skirt to create a twist of femininity (because of my personality of being girly) and with my Keds sneakers to maintain the coziness of the ensemble. Furthermore, choosing the right length of the skirt, three to four inches above the knee, is what petite girls should keep in mind to prevent looking smaller that as if their clothes are dominating their height and body figure.
On the different note, this outfit is also great for bipolar weather. Just fold the sleeve during sunny afternoon or wrap your pullover around your waist then pull off a plain white shirt as your top – through this, the Bart pullover will give accent to your laid back outfit. So, what do you think of this easy breezy outfit?
