Initially, our fourth day should be spent going to Safari World, Pet Zone and Chatuchak, but ended only going to Safari World, Terminal 21, Platinum Mall and then at Napar for Thai Massage.
Safari World is far from the city so we left our hotel at around 9:00am and decided to book an UBER to arrive to Safari World faster. There are different shows every hour and there is a lunch buffet that is already included in the package that we bought via Klook app for Php850/pax – ALWAYS check this app wherever country or city you are going to because tickets here are cheaper.
Safari World is an eight-kilometer long animal park so it is highly advisable to put nothing but this on your schedule for that day. First thing we did when we arrived was to catch the 11:00am Sea Lion show followed by Elephant and Dolphin show – we had lunch before the Dolphin Show at the Safari World’s buffet. And which show I loved the most? For me, it is the Dolphin Show! I was fortunate that they approached me to participate and to interact with the dolphins that made our tour really unforgettable! Too bad, I did not have any decent photo to share with you.
Afterwards, we went to the Giraffe Feeding area and we bought a bucket of banana and sweet potato for 100 baht.
At around 5:00pm, Seph and I decided to drop by at Terminal 21 and also, to meet my friend and have dinner there, but because the restaurants there are almost similar with what we have here in the Philippines, we just had our dinner at the Platinum Mall.
The Platinum Mall is one of the shopping malls in Bangkok and it is where you can find stylish yet cheap clothes. What is more, the Thai food here is really good and super cheap! You will only need to get a reloadable card at the Platinum Mall’s cashier at the food court area before ordering because that is what you will use for paying – do not worry about your change as it can be refunded. Also, if you think that you will still use the card on the following days, you can bring it with you and just return it for refund and after using it.
Everything here is delish! But what really caught my attention are the Papaya Salad with Fish, Thai Milk Tea and Mango Sticky Rice!
With all the things we did from day one up to day four, one thing I always craved every before ending our day: the Authentic Thai Massage!! Hence, we went to Napar as my friend told me that Thai Massage there is really good, which is only 250 baht for an hour. The price is totally worth it considering how clean the place was and the massage was soooo relaxing! Seriously, you must not forget to try the authentic Thai Massage when in Bangkok!
For our last day, Seph and I went to Madame Tussauds at the Siam Discovery mall. Entrance fee is depending on the time, but because we availed the early bird price, we only paid for 600 baht each.
From what I heard, they say that Madame Tussauds in Bangkok is better than the other country’s, but I am not the right person to confirm that because I have never been to any Madame Tussauds yet except this one.
There are also some games and a karaoke inside! What is more, you can get to know who Madame Tussauds is and how these wax sculptures are made.
The best part? You can have your hands or yours and your partner’s hand waxed for 750 baht!
While waiting, you can watch and experience Ice Age’s 4D movie also in Madame Tussauds.
At around 1:00pm we dropped by at the nearest branch of Super Rich for money exchange. Take note that this is the best place where you can have your money exchanged in Thailand. They have a lot of branches in Bangkok so just search it using the “Maps” application on your iPhone or Google Maps.
After that, we had our late lunch at the Platinum Mall and then… shopping! Clothes here are cheaper than in Terminal 21, but still, the fabric and the quality of clothes are good and worth it. You can buy some tops for 200 to 250 baht and some denim jeans and skirts for 300 to 600 baht. For the size, almost everyone sells clothes in free sizes that fit to small to medium frames depending on the clothes’ style.
Unfortunately, there are only few brands for guys, which is a bit disappointing. Also, I find the guy clothes not that special and the price and style are just similar with what you can buy in the Philippines.
On the other hand, you can also check out Chatuchak night market if you have time. It is only open during weekends from 6:00am to 9:00pm, my friend told me that clothes there are much cheaper! You just have to be patient because there are lots of people and tourists going to the market and no air-condition available.
So, how would I rate my Bangkok experience? I can say it is 10 out of 10 because first, Thai people are really nice and friendly. Even though they are having a hard time understanding the English language, still, they smile and try their best to answer our questions. Second, Bangkok has so many things to offer and it is a good thing that we explored almost every corner of the city, which made our trip really FUN! And last but not the least, authentic Thai food are the best even the ones that you can see along the street! Plus, it is super cheap! With that said, Seph and I are thinking of coming back sometime next year!
