Pleats are here to please. Regardless of your style or your choice of top, pleated skirts can be flexible from casual to formal wear while making your ensemble look more stylish. In addition, its silhouette always succeeds on highlighting your figure even if you prefer loose shirts than fancy fitted tops – tacking in is not even needed sometimes. That being said, on my flight to Hong Kong, I sported my gray sheer jacket matched with my silver pleated skirt for accent. Color wise, everything falls in one palette and thus, resulted to monochrome look that might be look dull without proper accentuation.
Another thing that is good about pleated skirt aside from elevating any monochrome outfit is how it can be a perfect summer component; because it gives you a lot of breathing room to counter summer’s heat and humidity. Plus, whatever your task is, wrinkling will never be a problem.
So are you up to do some experiments for your summer outfits? Do not forget to count your pleated skirts in as they are really useful, versatile, stylish and most importantly, not causing much heat when worn under the hot days of summer.
