It is true that high school shares a huge part in everyone’s life. It is where everything starts and it is when each student begins to explore and to have fun with his or her best buddies. I even remember the times when my friends and I were going to different malls whenever our class was half day, and every time we did, Food court was our first stop where we always had our lunch because food choices are one thing that made each of us different. However, there were times when we just opted for somewhere else or just left right after eating because at that time SM Foodcourt looked shabby and not that enticing to eat at. Thus, when I heard that SM is finally starting to improve the look and the food of its Foodcourts in all of its branches, I immediately headed over to the newly developed branch in SM Fairview.
Its physical appearance is modern, inviting and is very well appointed. It has a minimalist touch that made cheery by the colorful stalls of each brand, which is designed by the brand itself and that is based on the brand’s personality and specialties.
As mentioned, Foodcourt has been our one-stop area as it offers variety of food, from Filipino to Chinese to Korean cuisines, but now, SM Fairview even made everyone’s food choices wider and better. There are now pastas, pizzas, burgers, waffles, seafood and even vegetarian dishes.
Ted’s La Paz Batchoy’s Bakareta and Sisig Hooray’s Pork Sisig
Harvester’s Vegetarian’s Tocino Vegetarian and Oriental Bowl’s Pork Asado
Casa Norte’s Bagnet and Inihaw Express’ Super Jumbo Squid with Onion & Tomato
Pepper Lunch’s Beef Pepper Rice and Inihaw Express’ Super Jumbo Squid with Onion & Tomato
Mr Kimbob’s Bibimbob and Ohayo Takoyaki’s Signature Takoyaki
Tropical Hut’s Double Cheese Burger and Famous Belgian Waffle’s Blueberry Cream Cheese
And of course, my all time favorite Sizzling Plate is still available in the Foodcourt. I even can recall my high school days when Tocino, Tapa, Salisbury and Speribs were the ones I usually order every time we eat at SM North’s Foodcourt. It was actually always my first choice because it was inexpensive yet satisfying. Funny thing is, whenever I eat Sizzling Plate, it is impossible not getting my tongue burnt, so I always wait five minutes before eating – well it actually happens to any hot food or drink I am having.
It is good to see how big the improvement in SM Fairview’s Foodcourt or even in the other branches. It became a place to not just eat-and-go, but a place to hangout with friends and/or family as well. Everything changed from small to big details, but for someone who eats in the Foodcourt ever since high school, the aura is still the same for me: it is still the place where my friends and I used to have fun because for me, it is only the physical look that changed and all the memories I have in here still remain, but with its new and better look, I am sure that new memories are about to happen.
So have you checked the nearest SM Foodcourt branch near you? What can you say about its new look?
