SUGAR AND SPICE

Leaving in a tropical country where everyday is a sunny day limits me to do layering and to style my clothes by giving it a different twist. As a result, hitting the road to go somewhere that has enough temperature for layering is what excites me even just for a few days. That was why, the moment I got an invite from Azalea Residences Baguio, grabbing the opportunity to come up with a fashionable piece of outfit that I will wear during my stay was actually what I have already planned the day before our trip! So here was the ensemble I wore during our second day in Baguio.

In putting up this outfit, the first idea that came in my mind was to combine the pieces that I am head over heels with. So if you really know me, my style and my blog, I know you have already thought of laces, pastels and floral prints; because as you observe, me and my style are actually full of femininity. Therefore, I opted to combine these girly things and had this outcome: a fun, sweet and chic ensemble that was suitable for the cold weather of Baguio but not the usual sweater or long sleeves type of get up.

At first, you might think that this look is just a combination of top and skirt, which is actually wrong; because inside my floral long sleeves chiffon top was a dress I got from Tomato. Okay, let me first discuss the story behind these apparels. To be honest, this orange lace dress is one of my favorite dresses because for me, it got everything I love: the pastels, laces and Peter Pan collar – admit it these are pretty, right?

On the other hand, this floral top is actually one of the backbreaking clothes I have in my closet because it seems that matching it with either skirt or pants will never look good on me because I am petite. Plus, is it just me or this top looks so 70s? Thus, I have decided to mix the clothes that I love and the one that is giving me a hard time to pull off. And so, I came up with this outfit!

Because of the cold weather, I managed to wear black tights, which gave more emphasis to the colors and prints of my top and dress.

For the shoes, I sported my Free Fish loafers that have a neutral color and a gold buckle creating a classy touch to my ensemble.
