Sweaters are the cozy huggers on a cold weather, but when Mr. Sun pours sunshine and heat, sweaters are nowhere to see but in the clothes chest. Thus, when the thought of Christmas air and cloudy weather came in the picture, I grabbed the chance to pull off something basic but spiced up with color and of course, sweater.
Accentuating never fails to add charisma to your outfit even the one with simple compositions; whether through textures or colors, your plain-vanilla ensemble will no longer remain plain but instead a chic and appealing one. Hence, on a day when meetings were filling up my schedule, I shaped an appropriate get-up but this time, sleeveless, tube and blazer were not part of the plan.
Denim jeans, black heels and black bag are all neutrals that actually look a little lame when you let them do their thing in one whole outfit. So to give a little twist, I sported this yellow sweater from Thrift Market to accentuate while giving life to the dull colors of my bottoms, shoes and bag.
And because I was heading out for meetings, I needed to add something that will make my ensemble look appropriate for it. Hence, I wore a pair of heels and of course, gold accessories.
Remember that anything works with gold, especially yellow. This color perfectly suits with it because they have shade coordination, which makes their combination look balanced and more sophisticated also because of the metallic touch of gold.
As a result, by wearing my gold necklace and rose gold watch from Morellato, I ended up having a smart casual outfit, just right for my meeting.
By the way, make sure to wear Princess or Matinee style of necklaces: Princess style has a length that is similar with what I am wearing while Matinee style is few inches longer – usually its length is up to your chest. You can wear other styles if you want, but for me, with this kind of look, it looks classier to keep the accessories minimal.
On the other hand, skinny jeans are the besties of petites; because of the illusion of having longer legs that they create, which also adds height. So, here is the brand that I would want to recommend, Bobson. These Bobson jeans that I am wearing are honestly cozy compared with the other brands that I used to wear before; these are made with hundred percent cotton and its fabric is soft and light, making me feel like I am just wearing a pair of jeggings.
So are you now ready for some Ber month OOTDs? What do you think of taking those lovely sweaters out for a walk on a gloomy weather or cold night?
