Even for a short while, a break is what everyone has to have. Therefore, a day in a hotel or a staycation rather, already makes up for tiring days that he or she had. However, when this was done many times already, pure and simple hotels are becoming boring unless you are there for other reasons: it is nearby your office, located in a very civilized location or offers excellent facilities and stunning window scenery. But if not, I advise you to become more experimental and discover new places! Which I did last month and surprisingly, I found a hotel just near my area that is as different as night and day – meaning, this is good news for people from north like me!
The Bellevue Hotel was the hotel we stayed in Bohol when we were there for Nivea just last month of January. So, I was surprised when I learned that they have a branch at Quezon City known as The B Hotel, but this one is far different from the one in Bohol.
Dissimilar with other hotels in the Metro, The B Hotel has elegant, industrialized and artistic interior: there are no white walls just unpainted walls; no fancy decors just stylishly exposed pipes and bike wheels; and no plain black and white furniture just a splash of vibrant shades such as red, orange and blue. As a result, every corner makes an Instagram worthy photo.
What is more, whether it is a Superior Room that can accommodate a maximum of 2 paying guests and 2 children; a 2-Bedroom Suite that is 80.2sqm big and the largest room that you can avail at B Hotel Quezon City; or the room we got, a 1-Bedroom Suite that comes with 1 king bed and can accommodate a maximum of 2 paying guests and 2 children; each room offers air conditioning, satellite/cable LED TV, free LAN and Wi-Fi access, in-room safe, mini-bar, shower, NDD/IDD (charges apply) and private toilet and bath.
As mentioned, 1-Bedroom Suite was what Seph and I booked for two nights. What I personally love about this suite aside from the mixed of modern and vintage ambience, is how roomy, cozy and homey the place is.
Also, its comfort room is so dreamy with the city view and pleasant atmosphere – nobody can see you from the outside when it is daytime, but everything is visible by night so better put the blinds down.
Although there are many restaurants around the area, B Hotel QC still offers a lot of food choices for its guests. There is the Mezzanine Bar serving drinks and taste-tickling dishes from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am; the Lobby Café that serves breakfast buffet and some international a la carte cuisines, served all day for your craving satisfaction; and lastly, the Pastry Corner that offers signature cakes, pastries, sandwiches, coffee and signature Ensaymada – sadly, I was not able to try these except its Chocolate Cake that was really delish!
While if swimming pool was one of the things you look forward to in a hotel, B Hotel has 4-feet deep pool where both kids and adults could have fun!
On the other hand, for its price, you can get a room for as low as Php 4,000 depending on the date that you want to book it. Maximum money that you might expend is only around Php 7,000 and that is for the largest room already.
To sum it up, B Hotel QC is a breath of fresh air considering the uniqueness of its interior and how it is artistically done. Another good thing that made it different from the others is, it is the only hotel in Quezon City that has an uncommon look and not just the typical black and white mood. Also, a lot convenient stores and restaurants are available around the area, but if you prefer eating in the hotel, they serve scrumptious food as well – I will never forget the “daing” that they usually serve during breakfast! So yummy!!
