Stripes on stripes are one of the print components that are often being avoided by most girls. There may be some that can shape a casual ensemble, just like a pair of striped culottes and matching top, but it is rare to see ladies donning a stripes on stripes working outfit; others are comfortable to pair their striped tops with plain bottoms, as it can also look chic yet lacking of spice. So I thought about combining these lines in one get-up that is both elegant and fashionable, and that is also appropriate for work and still befits to summer season.
Plains can be flexible and sophisticated, but touches of prints can give blithe result, as well as colors particularly this Summer; however, for those who do not want to be bright and bold but want to keep their looks up-to-date to the current season, wearing stripes is the subtle way to do it especially when sporting it more than the usual way.
Shaping a stripes on stripes get-up is easier when you focus on the dainty lines since classiness are often seen on plain or subtle printed clothing. Hence, I opted for fewer lines but with texture through the knitted fabric of my top and skirt, and with accents by donning this white scallop blazer. By doing so, I somehow gave the outfit a light and cheery look even without vibrant shades – It is also fine if you prefer popping some colors through your blazer, shoes or bag.
