THREE TIPS FOR WEARING ALL BLACK CLOTHING

“When in doubt, wear black.” Yep, certainly the most useful and safest rule to follow in fashion because come on, black is one of the most versatile colors when it comes to clothes. Sure, white is timeless, but it gets dirty easily and that is the last thing you want to happen on a busy day. Thus, when choosing which color to buy, I am guessing that almost everyone prefers black regardless of what type of clothes. Consequently, sometimes, what you wear might all look the same or worse, boring. That is why, I came up with three things that girls should keep in mind when putting up an all black ensemble without looking boring.

1. Play with textures

What I like with all-black ensemble is how it lets you to go a little over-the-top when it comes to textures. Thus, you can pair your furry piece with your leather bottoms or fringe bag, without overdoing it, which also means that even though you are only wearing one color, there are still ways to experiment and be playful!

2. Be mindful of the silhouette

BUT you should remember: silhouette is very important. So, make sure that even if you opted for a fluffy furry top, your figure is still visible and you are emphasizing the right part of your body most especially when you are petite. Similar with what I did with this ensemble: even though I am wearing a chunky top, I balanced it with a pair of floor length high-waist flared jeans. Through this, I was able to highlight my hips and I created an illusion of height and longer legs.

3. Always accessorize!

Black is the best color to accessorize for one reason: it is dark, so any color that is metallic and vibrant, gives accent and life to the whole look. Hence, belt, necklace and other accessories are much recommended, but NEVER overdo it – one or two pieces are already fine.

Through these tips, even though black can be one-dimensional and boring, it can already be prevented even if you wear this color everyday!
