Outfit of the day is based on the clothes that you feel like wearing while fitting the mood you got for that certain day. By putting up different components that, as I have mentioned, are based on the activity and mood you have for that day, an unintentional chic outfit is sometimes being shaped – even you prefer wearing a lazy ensemble. To be honest and aboveboard, whenever I am out to meet my friends and to have a quick meeting with a client, I am a bit slack off when it comes to dressing up. Hence, I just grab the clothes that either have prints or colors then commonly combine it with neutral shades – fact is, this method never fails me to shape a fashionable outfit. Need a proof? Then this ensemble is my proof!
I have already posted an OOTD wearing this skirt a year ago (I guess) and during that time, I matched it with white top and heels that ended me having an elegant ensemble – just right for the event that I headed to. On the other hand, this time I made things a little bit easy, convenient but still, basic; sporting a sheer black shirt and black t-strap sandals resulted to having less formal look even with the tea-length floral A-line skirt, yet the classiness has maintained through the knotted gold necklace, which emphasized more by the dark shade of black.
On the different note, for petites, do not be afraid of wearing tea-length skirts – the length of the dress/skirt that reaches from just below the knee to mid-calf – only because you are scared to look smaller; the trick is to always go for the high waist tea-length skirts for the illusion of having longer legs and cropped or fitted tops to still highlight your body curves.
Also, keep in mind that rules are just guides and sometimes, breaking these guides are more fun and exciting, right?
So are you game for breaking those fashion rules but still making a head turner ensemble? How about considering this outfit as your OOTD for this coming Sunday at Bloggers United 8, Whitespace Makati? Want to have a FREE pass? Then head over to this blog post! Good luck! 🙂
