Eager to taste a different kind of savory of the well-known American food, burger? Do not worry because the last time I checked, that feeling was what pushed me to try something different but definitely good. Just like what they say, changes always end up into having great experiences, which what I proved when I tried the new menu of Wham! Burgers and Sausages –yes, you read it right, Sausages.
Being known for its dainty burgers, Wham! Burgers and Sausages now offers a variety of foods and drinks that were all improved and made with quality. Together with its upgraded menu, Wham! Burgers and Sausages has also revamped its overall look into a modernized interior, which will surely encourage fun and longer stories to be shared between friends and family, while drinking some of Wham’s top quality selections of both local and imported beers: San Miguel Pale Pilsen, San Mig Light or Super Dry and Holland brand, Bavaria.
But before we talk about anything alcoholic, let us just focus on the new and healthy taste of Wham! Burgers and Sausages’ meals.
First on the list: Whammer Burger. It has one-third pound pure beef patties at 80% lean and 20% fat that comes with bacon, lettuce, cheese and deep fried onion strings, plus Wham’s burger patties that are gently seasoned only with natural flavor enhancers such as salt and black pepper. The whole combination for me was okay since each ingredient blends well with each other; however, I find its taste too common and lacking wow-factor that supposed to be the one who leaves a trade mark to every customer who tries it.
Spaghetti Fries | This one is what I am talking about in terms of having a signature taste or uniqueness. Who would have thought that combining French fries and spaghetti sauce could end up into having a great meal? It might look weird but the combination of the usual ingredients of a spaghetti sauce and skinny fries really created a good balance.
Kielbasa | It is a polish smoked sausage of coarsely chopped beef and pork, flavored with garlic and spices. Its taste is perfect to match with beer since its flavor balances the beer’s taste of bitterness. Also, it is not that flavorful to cause any conflict between its taste and beer’s.
Pepper Poppers | I like Wham’s version of Pepper Poppers. Inside of it is a mixed of cheese and chopped Jalapeño that complements well with each of its taste.
Wham Burgers is located at three branches: Katipunan, SM North Edsa (The Block), and Mall of Asia. For more information, visit www.whamburgers.com or like Wham! Burger on Facebook and/or follow @WhamBurgersPH on Twitter and Instagram.
