When looking smart and sleek is your outfit agenda for the day, button down shirts completely fit the bill regardless how you style them; however, if you were stuck with the common styling of wearing them plain vanilla, either sporting them unbuttoned with inner top or buttoned with folded sleeves, here is what you should try that also suits with today’s trend: the bell and fluted sleeves.
These voluminous sleeves are making huge noises in this year’s trend that is not just about bohemian-chic components but also elegant and sophisticated tops and dresses. Considering this, I have figured that leaving my button down shirt’s sleeves unbutton is giving a subtle bell sleeves effect, which works best with oversized button down shirts. Furthermore, parallel with those goodly sleeves, it all look well and stylish with jeans or trousers. On the other hand, there are no rules when it comes to colors but maintaining the smart look from head to toe is a must, which is why I only donned light neutral shades.
So, what do you think? Is unbuttoned sleeves yay or nay?
